Name: Seagate GoFlex Home Network Storage System Driver
Author: Seagate

Question 1

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the GoFlex Home and PC are on the same router/subnet. Use wired Ethernet, enable Network Discovery and File and Printer Sharing, then open `\GoFlexHome` or the NAS IP in File Explorer. Reserve its IP in the router.

Question 2

Driver/setup install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the Seagate GoFlex Home/Dashboard installer as administrator, temporarily pause antivirus/firewall, and use a Windows-compatible release. If it still fails, uninstall older setup software, reboot, and retry.

Question 3

Version or mapping conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Seagate Dashboard/GoFlex Home utilities and stale mapped drives before installing. When prompted for share credentials, use the NAS account created during setup, not your local Windows login.
