Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the USBCam4, run the driver installer as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus. If Windows blocks an unsigned driver, use the manufacturer-signed package that matches your exact Windows version, then reboot before reconnecting the camera.

Question 2

Camera not detected by Schick imaging software?

Accepted Answer

Plug the USBCam4 directly into a USB 2.0 port on the PC—avoid hubs, docks, or extension cables. Check Device Manager for an unknown/USB camera device, power-cycle the camera, and reinstall the driver before opening the imaging application.

Question 3

Version conflicts after a Windows update?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, enable Show hidden devices and remove old Schick/USBCam4 driver entries. Uninstall any previous imaging-suite driver, reboot, then install the driver version certified for your Windows release. Avoid mixing drivers from different Schick software versions.
