Name: ScanSnap S1300 Driver
Author: Fujitsu

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the ScanSnap S1300 before running the Fujitsu installer. Run it as administrator, reboot if prompted, and connect the scanner only when setup asks. Remove older ScanSnap software first.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use the included USB cable directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. If the cable has a second power connector, plug it in. Check Device Manager for “Unknown device,” then reinstall ScanSnap Manager.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old ScanSnap Manager/Home and scanner drivers, reboot, then install only the S1300-compatible package. Don’t mix newer ScanSnap Home software with legacy ScanSnap Manager.
