Name: SanDisk U3 Cruzer Micro USB Device Driver
Author: SanDisk

Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

The legacy U3 Launchpad installer may fail on modern Windows. Run it as administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode, use a rear USB 2.0 port, and disconnect other USB drives. If it still fails, skip Launchpad and use the SanDisk U3 Cruzer Micro as standard USB storage.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another rear USB port without a hub, then check Device Manager and Disk Management. Rescan for hardware changes; if an unknown USB mass-storage device appears, uninstall it and reconnect so Windows reloads the generic driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Old SanDisk U3 drivers can conflict with Windows’ built-in USB mass-storage driver. In Device Manager, remove outdated SanDisk/U3 entries and uninstall old Launchpad software, then reconnect the Cruzer Micro and let Windows install its native driver.
