Name: Saitek X52 Flight Controller Driver
Author: Saitek

Question 1

Installer fails or hangs?

Accepted Answer

Run the Saitek X52 driver installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and try Windows 7 compatibility mode if setup exits early. Reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the X52 directly to a powered USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Open `joy.cpl` to confirm it appears under Game Controllers; if not, check Device Manager for unknown HID devices and reinstall the driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Saitek/Mad Catz software and remove previous X52 entries in Device Manager, including hidden devices. Reboot, then install one driver package only. Avoid mixing Logitech/Saitek installers.
