Name: Saitek Pro Flight Cessna Trim Wheel (HID) Driver
Author: Saitek

Question 1

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the trim wheel directly to a rear USB port, not a hub. In Device Manager, check Human Interface Devices/Game Controllers; uninstall any unknown or failed HID entry, then replug and rescan.

Question 2

Driver install fails or wheel is not recognized?

Accepted Answer

Run the Saitek installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and reboot. If setup still fails, update the driver manually in Device Manager to “HID-compliant game controller.”

Question 3

Version conflicts or erratic trim input?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Saitek/Mad Catz software and hidden HID devices, reboot, then recalibrate in Windows “Set up USB game controllers.” Test the trim axis in the sim and avoid running legacy profiling software alongside Windows HID.
