Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator, close HASP-using applications, and remove any older Sentinel/Aladdin HASP driver first. Reboot before reinstalling the vendor-supplied Sentinel HASP/LDK runtime.

Question 2

Key not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a direct USB port instead of a hub, check Device Manager for an unknown Sentinel HASP device, and reinstall the runtime. Confirm the key’s LED/activity and test on another PC if possible.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Mixing legacy HASP drivers with Sentinel LDK can cause “device not found” or license errors. Uninstall all existing HASP/Sentinel drivers, reboot, then install only the runtime version required by your application.
