Name: Roland XV 5050 Driver
Author: Roland

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Close DAWs and any MIDI software, then run the Roland driver installer as administrator. Use the installer version that matches your Windows release; older XV-5050 USB MIDI packages may need compatibility mode.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the XV-5050 directly to a rear USB port, not a hub. Check the USB cable, power-cycle the module, and confirm the Roland XV-5050 MIDI port appears in your DAW’s MIDI device list.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any previous Roland USB MIDI driver, remove hidden/old MIDI devices in Device Manager, reboot, then install the current driver before reconnecting the XV-5050.
