Name: Roland VG 99 Driver
Author: Roland

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the VG-99 before running the Roland driver installer. Run the installer as administrator, reboot when prompted, and connect the VG-99 only when setup asks. Disable antivirus temporarily if it blocks the driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Try a known-good USB cable and confirm the VG-99 is powered on and set to its USB audio/MIDI mode. Reboot both the PC and VG-99, then check Device Manager for unknown devices.

Question 3

Version conflicts with other Roland drivers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Roland USB drivers and remove leftover entries in Device Manager, then reboot and install the latest VG-99 driver. Set the same sample rate in Windows, the VG-99, and your DAW to avoid audio/MIDI errors.
