Question 1

Installation fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Use the latest Roland SX-12 driver for your Windows version, run the installer as administrator, and connect the cutting plotter only when prompted. Remove older Roland driver packages first, then reboot.

Question 2

SX-12 not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the cutter is powered on and in the correct interface mode. Try a direct USB port and a known-good cable—no hub—then check Device Manager for unknown or missing USB devices. Reinstall the driver if needed.

Question 3

Driver/software version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old SX-12 drivers and mismatched Roland cutting software, then install the driver before the application. Avoid mixing 32-bit and 64-bit packages; after changes, reboot and reselect the SX-12 in the software’s output/port settings.
