Question 1

Driver install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the BOSS GT-PRO before running the Roland/BOSS USB driver installer. Close DAWs and BOSS Tone Studio, run the installer as administrator, reboot, then connect the GT-PRO when prompted. If Windows blocks the driver, use the GT-PRO-compatible Roland driver version.

Question 2

GT-PRO not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct USB 2.0 port and a known data cable, not a hub. Check Device Manager for an unknown device or “BOSS GT-PRO”; reconnect and reinstall the driver if needed.

Question 3

Version conflicts / wrong audio device?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Roland/BOSS USB drivers and duplicate device entries, reboot, then install the current GT-PRO driver. In your DAW, select the BOSS GT-PRO ASIO/MIDI device and match the sample rate.
