Name: Rock Candy Gamepad for Xbox 360 Driver
Author: PDP

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

The Rock Candy Gamepad uses the standard Xbox 360 controller driver. Don’t install third-party “driver updater” packages; in Device Manager, update the unknown device manually and point it to the Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller for Windows driver.

Question 2

Gamepad not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a direct USB 2.0 port instead of a hub, reseat the cable, and check Device Manager for “Unknown Device” or a yellow warning icon. Reinstall the Xbox 360 controller driver and reboot.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Xbox 360 controller drivers, including hidden devices, then reboot before reinstalling. Avoid mixing multiple controller driver packages.
