Author: Razer

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Close Razer Synapse and other Razer utilities, temporarily disable antivirus, then run the Tartarus Chroma installer as administrator. Reboot before retrying; don’t connect the keypad until prompted.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug the Tartarus Chroma directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub or KVM. In Device Manager, check for unknown USB devices; uninstall any Razer Tartarus entries, reconnect the keypad, and let Windows detect it again.

Question 3

Version/software conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Razer Synapse or device software and remove leftover Tartarus Chroma profiles before installing the current version. Use only one Razer app to manage the keypad; after updating, reimport macros/profiles and test Chroma lighting.
