Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Razer Copperhead setup as administrator and set Compatibility Mode to the Windows version the driver supports. Temporarily disable antivirus/SmartScreen, reboot, then retry.

Question 2

Mouse not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a rear USB 2.0 port directly on the PC, not a hub. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes and remove any unknown USB device entries, then reconnect the mouse.

Question 3

Driver/software version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing Razer mouse software and old Copperhead driver entries, including hidden devices. Reboot and install only the Copperhead package matching your Windows build; don’t mix it with newer Razer Synapse.
