Name: Razer Barracuda AC 1 Gaming Audio Card Driver
Author: Razer

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Razer Barracuda AC-1 setup as Administrator with the card seated and Windows audio services enabled. Disable antivirus real-time scanning during install, then reboot before launching the control panel.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the card in its PCI slot, confirm it appears in Device Manager (Sound, video and game controllers), and try a different slot. Disable onboard audio in BIOS to avoid resource conflicts, then reinstall the driver.

Question 3

Version or codec conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any previous Razer audio drivers and leftover entries via Device Manager first. Match the driver to your Windows version (32/64-bit), and avoid mixing with Realtek/C-Media onboard drivers that can override the card's default playback device.
