Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the RT3062f installer as administrator and use Windows compatibility mode for the driver’s original OS. If Windows blocks it, check driver signature enforcement and confirm you have the correct 32-bit or 64-bit package.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the PCIe/mini-PCIe card, check Device Manager for an unknown network controller, and try another slot. Disable Fast Startup and any Wi-Fi power-saving option that may hide the adapter.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing Ralink/MediaTek wireless drivers, remove hidden devices, reboot, then install the RT3062f package. Prevent Windows Update from automatically replacing it with a generic or newer driver.
