Name: Ralink Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter Driver
Author: Ralink

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Ralink/MediaTek installer as administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode. If Windows blocks an unsigned older package, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement, then reinstall.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for unknown/Bluetooth entries. Try a rear USB 2.0 port without a hub, enable Bluetooth Support Service, and turn off airplane mode. Uninstall hidden old Bluetooth devices and rescan.

Question 3

Version conflicts/dropouts?

Accepted Answer

Remove existing generic Windows Bluetooth and other Ralink/MediaTek Bluetooth drivers, reboot, then install the package matching the adapter’s hardware ID. Set Windows Update to not replace the driver automatically.
