Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator and confirm it matches your Windows version and architecture. Uninstall any existing Ralink/MediaTek wireless driver first; if Windows blocks an unsigned package, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement during setup.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for an unknown network adapter or yellow warning. Reseat the PCIe/USB card, enable the wireless adapter in BIOS if applicable, and install the motherboard chipset driver before retrying.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Ralink drivers completely, then install one matching package. Avoid mixing Windows Update and vendor drivers; use Device Manager rollback or a clean uninstall if the adapter drops connections after an update.
