Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the QuickLabel Pronto 843 driver installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and remove any existing Pronto/QuickLabel printer queues via Print Management before rebooting and retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the Pronto 843 is powered on and ready, connect directly to a USB 2.0 port with a known-good cable (avoid hubs), then check Device Manager for an unknown device and reinstall the driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older QuickLabel/Pronto drivers and clear stuck print jobs/spooler files, then install the latest Pronto 843 package for your Windows version and architecture. Avoid letting Windows assign a generic printer driver.
