Name: Quatech QSCLP 100 Driver
Author: Quatech

Question 1

Install fails on Windows 10/11?

Accepted Answer

The QSCLP 100 uses an older PCI serial driver package. Run the installer as Administrator in Compatibility Mode for Windows 7, and use a digitally signed release if available; disable driver signature enforcement only as a last resort.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for an unknown “PCI Serial Port” or “Communications Controller.” Reseat the low-profile card, confirm slot/bracket alignment, and install the motherboard chipset driver before rerunning the Quatech setup.

Question 3

COM port/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Quatech or generic serial drivers, then assign a free COM number in Device Manager. Avoid mixing 32-bit and 64-bit INF files; match the driver package to the installed Windows architecture.
