Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the QMS Imagen 2308 driver setup as administrator, disconnect the printer until prompted, and temporarily disable third-party antivirus. If setup still fails, remove older QMS Imagen driver packages via Print Management > Drivers, reboot, then reinstall the correct 32/64-bit Windows package.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try a direct rear-port connection and a known-good cable; avoid hubs. For network models, confirm the Imagen 2308 has a valid IP, is on the same subnet, and that Windows can ping it. Power-cycle the printer and add it using the IP port rather than auto-discovery.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous QMS or generic PostScript/PCL drivers, delete leftover queues and driver packages, reboot, and install only the latest Imagen 2308 package matching Windows version and architecture.
