Name: QMS 860 Plus Driver
Author: QMS

Question 1

Install fails or setup exits early?

Accepted Answer

Run the QMS 860 Plus installer as administrator and try Windows 7 compatibility mode. Use the correct x86/x64 package; if setup still fails, extract the INF and add the printer via Devices and Printers > Add Printer > Have Disk.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the correct connection—USB directly to the PC, parallel LPT, or Ethernet TCP/IP. Power on the printer and wait for Ready. For network use, create a Standard TCP/IP port with the printer’s IP; avoid USB hubs/adapters.

Question 3

Version conflicts or old drivers?

Accepted Answer

Remove the existing QMS 860 Plus printer and any QMS driver packages under Print Server Properties > Drivers. Clear stalled print jobs, reboot, then reinstall matching architecture/driver type.
