Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the WN2100 installer as administrator and in compatibility mode for the supported Windows version. Temporarily pause antivirus, remove any previous PROLiNK wireless utility, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug the Mini USB adapter directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. In Device Manager, check for Unknown Device/USB errors, uninstall the entry, rescan hardware, and confirm the adapter is firmly seated.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Wi-Fi drivers and PROLiNK utilities for this adapter, reboot, and install only the package matching the WN2100 hardware revision and Windows build. Avoid running the Windows built-in driver alongside the vendor utility.
