Question 1

Install fails or driver is blocked?

Accepted Answer

The SprintScan 120 uses a legacy film-scanner driver. Run the installer as administrator in compatibility mode for the target Windows version, and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if Windows rejects unsigned files.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the SCSI adapter appears in Device Manager, use a unique SCSI ID, terminate the chain correctly, and power on the scanner before booting Windows. Try another SCSI cable/adapter if needed.

Question 3

Version conflicts or software cannot see the scanner?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Polaroid/Microtek scanner drivers and stale TWAIN/WIA entries, reboot, then install only the matching SprintScan 120 package. Do not mix 32-bit drivers with 64-bit scanning software.
