Name: Plustek OpticFilm 7500i AI Driver
Author: Plustek

Question 1

Driver install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the scanner, run the Plustek installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and use the Windows driver matching your OS bitness for the OpticFilm 7500i AI. Reboot before reconnecting.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect directly to a powered USB port—not a hub—and check the scanner’s power/status LED. In Device Manager, look for an unknown USB device; in your scanning app, select the Plustek OpticFilm 7500i AI TWAIN source rather than WIA.

Question 3

Version conflicts with older Plustek/SilverFast/QuickScan software?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous drivers and scanning software, remove leftover device entries, reboot, then install the latest 7500i AI package. Avoid running multiple TWAIN drivers.
