Author: Plustek

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Plustek MobileOffice S400 setup as administrator, disconnect the scanner until prompted, and temporarily disable antivirus. Remove older Plustek scanner software and reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the S400 directly to a rear USB port, not a hub. Try another USB cable/port, check Device Manager for unknown devices, then reinstall the Plustek driver and restart.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Plustek or other scanner drivers, remove leftover entries in Device Manager, and install the package matching your Windows version and architecture. Reboot before opening the scanning software.
