Question 1

Install fails or BT300M not recognized?

Accepted Answer

The BT300M is a USB Bluetooth adapter and usually relies on the Windows Bluetooth stack/Plantronics Hub. Unplug it, remove stale Plantronics/Bluetooth entries in Device Manager, reboot, plug directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, then install the latest Plantronics Hub.

Question 2

Headset not detected/pairing fails?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the BT300M LED is active, disable any built-in Bluetooth or other USB Bluetooth dongles, remove the headset from Windows Bluetooth devices, and re-pair. Set the Plantronics headset as default playback/recording device.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Plantronics Hub and third-party Bluetooth stacks (CSR/Widcomm) before reinstalling; keep only one Bluetooth adapter active, then reboot and test.
