Name: Planex GW DS54GT 54Mbps Wireless LAN PCI Adapter Driver
Author: Planex

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The GW-DS54GT uses legacy drivers. Run the Planex setup as Administrator in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP/Vista, match the driver to your OS architecture (32/64-bit), and reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power off, reseat the PCI card, and try another PCI slot; confirm the slot is enabled in BIOS. In Device Manager, find the unknown network controller and manually point Update Driver to the extracted Planex driver folder.

Question 3

Version/utility conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Planex drivers and third-party wireless managers, then reboot. Use only one utility—Windows WLAN AutoConfig/Wireless Zero Configuration or the Planex tool—to avoid conflicting 54Mbps WLAN profiles.
