Question 1

Installer fails on modern Windows?

Accepted Answer

Legacy PLANET ENW-9503 04 packages may not run on Windows 10/11. Try Compatibility Mode, or install manually via Device Manager → Update driver → Browse to the extracted driver folder.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the PCI card, confirm the slot/BIOS has PCI enabled, and check Device Manager for an “Ethernet Controller” with a warning. Try another PCI slot if no hardware appears.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing/generic Ethernet driver first, then install the Planet driver. If Windows Update replaces it, roll back the driver and temporarily pause automatic driver updates.
