Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Pirelli/Alice Gate 2 plus USB installer as administrator and in compatibility mode for your Windows version. If Windows blocks the driver, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement, then reinstall. Do not use a 64-bit driver on 32-bit Windows.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the USB cable directly to a rear motherboard port, not a hub. Try another cable/port and check Device Manager for “Unknown device.” Reinstall USB/chipset drivers and power-cycle the router before retrying.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Alice Gate/Pirelli modem drivers and Telecom utility first, reboot, then install only the matching package. In Device Manager, use Roll Back Driver or Update Driver if Windows loads a generic USB modem driver.
