Name: Pinnacle PCTV 80e Driver
Author: Pinnacle

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the Pinnacle installer as administrator and use Windows compatibility mode for the package’s original OS. If Windows blocks the TV tuner driver, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement or use a signed PCTV 80e package.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug the PCTV 80e directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. In Device Manager, check for an unknown USB device or entries under Sound, video and game controllers; uninstall any marked device, replug the tuner, and rescan.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Pinnacle TVCenter/MediaCenter drivers first. In Device Manager, right-click the PCTV tuner/capture device, choose Uninstall device, tick “Delete the driver software,” reboot, then install only one PCTV 80e driver package.
