Author: Pinnacle

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

On Windows 10/11, the older Pinnacle package may fail due to missing digital signature or setup compatibility. Run the installer as administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode, then reboot before plugging in the 800e.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a rear USB 2.0 port directly (not a hub), use a powered hub if needed, and check Device Manager for “Unknown device.” Reinstall the driver with the tuner unplugged, then connect it when prompted.

Question 3

Version conflicts / tuner missing in TV software?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Pinnacle TVCenter/Windows Media Center driver entries in Device Manager (Show hidden devices), reboot, and install only one driver package. Match 32/64-bit OS.
