Name: Pinnacle DVC 80 Video Driver
Author: Pinnacle

Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the DVC 80 before running setup, right-click the Pinnacle installer and choose Run as administrator. Temporarily pause antivirus and use Windows compatibility mode if the package predates your OS; reboot before reconnecting the capture device.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the DVC 80 directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. In Device Manager, look for an unknown device or “Video Capture” entry; uninstall it, restart, then reinstall the driver with the device plugged in.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any older Pinnacle or generic USB video capture driver via Device Manager (Uninstall device and delete driver software). Reboot, then install only the matching 32-bit/64-bit DVC 80 package.
