Name: Philips SAA7135 TV Card TV Tuner Driver
Author: Philips

Question 1

Install fails or driver is blocked?

Accepted Answer

legacy Philips SAA7135 packages are often unsigned or 32-bit only. Run setup as administrator, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement, and install the package matching your Windows version and architecture. Avoid generic SAA713x drivers unless SAA7135 is explicitly listed.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

check Device Manager for an unknown multimedia controller or Code 10/28/43. Reseat the PCI card, try another slot, enable PCI/PnP in BIOS, and confirm the tuner is not disabled. If no hardware ID appears, the card or slot is likely faulty.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

remove old Philips SAA713x/TV tuner drivers and bundled capture software before installing. Reboot, delete hidden devices, then install one driver only. Repeated Code 43 errors often indicate mixed drivers or IRQ/resource conflicts.
