Question 1

Device not detected / Unknown device?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the SAA7134 PCI card, try another slot, and check Device Manager for an unknown multimedia device. Install the matching 32-bit or 64-bit driver manually via Update Driver > Browse.

Question 2

Driver install fails or is blocked?

Accepted Answer

Legacy SAA7134 drivers may be unsigned or incompatible with Windows 10/11. Run setup as administrator, use compatibility mode, or temporarily disable driver signature enforcement; verify the INF supports your exact card variant.

Question 3

Version conflicts / Code 10, 12, or 43?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Philips, BDA, or other TV tuner drivers and capture software in Safe Mode, reboot, then install only one SAA7134 driver version. If tuning still fails, remove conflicting codec packs and rescan hardware.
