Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Philips GoGear ViBE driver/Device Manager installer as administrator, use Windows compatibility mode for the listed OS, and temporarily disable antivirus. Remove any previous Philips GoGear software first.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port/cable, avoid hubs, and check Device Manager for unknown/MTP devices. On the ViBE, switch between MTP and USB mass-storage modes if available, then reconnect.

Question 3

Version/driver conflict?

Accepted Answer

Windows may load a generic USB mass-storage or MTP driver. Uninstall the ViBE under Device Manager (check “Delete driver software”), reboot, and install the matching Philips package before reconnecting.
