Question 1

Driver install fails or “Have Disk” rejects the INF?

Accepted Answer

Extract the Philips 225B2 package first, then use Device Manager > Monitors > Philips 225B2 > Update driver > Browse > Let me pick > Have Disk and point to the extracted `.inf`. Run as administrator.

Question 2

Monitor not detected or shown as Generic PnP Monitor?

Accepted Answer

Check power, select the correct VGA/DVI input, reseat the cable, and try another port. Use “Scan for hardware changes”; the 225B2 often works correctly with the generic Windows monitor driver.

Question 3

Version or color-profile conflicts after updating?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Philips monitor entries, remove duplicate 225B2 ICM profiles in Color Management, reboot, then install the latest Windows-matched INF/ICM package. Do not mix 32-bit and 64-bit driver files.
