Name: PHICOMM Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter Driver
Author: Phicomm

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the PHICOMM setup as administrator and plug the adapter into a direct USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Confirm the driver matches your Windows version/architecture; if Windows blocks an unsigned package, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement only for installation.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, check Network adapters and USB controllers for unknown or PHICOMM entries. Uninstall any faulty device, unplug/replug the adapter, and scan for hardware changes. Try another USB 2.0 port.

Question 3

Version conflicts or dropouts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older PHICOMM/Ralink 802.11n USB drivers, reboot, then install the new package. Prevent Windows Update from replacing the vendor driver, and set the adapter to the correct 2.4 GHz band if available.
