Name: Pentax PocketJet II Driver
Author: Pentax

Question 1

Install fails on modern Windows?

Accepted Answer

The PocketJet II driver is legacy and may be unsigned or 32-bit only. Run the installer as administrator in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode, or use Device Manager > Update driver > Browse to the extracted .inf file. Disable driver signature enforcement only if required.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power on the PocketJet II before connecting, use a direct USB/parallel port (no hub or adapter), and check Device Manager for an unknown device. For parallel models, confirm LPT is enabled in BIOS.

Question 3

Version/driver conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing Pentax PocketJet entries and remove the old driver package, reboot, then reinstall the correct PocketJet II package. Do not mix it with newer PocketJet drivers.
