Name: Pacific Image PrimeFilm 1800 U Driver
Author: Pacific Image

Question 1

Install fails or setup stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Pacific Image/PrimeFilm 1800 U installer as Administrator and temporarily disable antivirus. If Windows blocks the legacy driver, use compatibility mode for the supported Windows version and reboot before connecting the scanner.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the 1800 U directly to a rear USB port, avoid hubs, and try a known-good USB cable. Confirm the scanner is powered and listed in Device Manager; reinstall the USB/TWAIN driver, then reopen the scanning app.

Question 3

Version/software conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older PrimeFilm or Pacific Image drivers and third-party TWAIN sources before installing the 1800 U package. Match the driver to your Windows version and use the vendor’s scanning utility or a compatible TWAIN app; do not mix 32-bit and 64-bit components.
