Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the PrintStation 40T driver setup as administrator, close print apps, and restart the print spooler (`net stop spooler` / `net start spooler`). Remove any older Output Technology printer entry first.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm power and cable seating, try another matching port, and verify the correct port is selected in Printer Properties. Avoid unpowered USB hubs or adapter cables.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall the old 40T driver in Print Management, delete the driver package, reboot, then install the current Windows version. Match 32/64-bit and avoid mixing generic receipt-printer drivers.
