Name: Optiarc DVD RW AD 7760H ATA Device Driver
Author: Optiarc

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Optiarc package as administrator and in compatibility mode for the listed Windows version. If Windows already has the native CD/DVD driver, don’t force an older package; update the ATA/SATA controller driver and retry.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the AD-7760H appears in BIOS. For IDE, check master/slave or cable-select jumpers and use a known-good 40/80-wire cable; for SATA, reseat data/power. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes and remove any upper/lower filter entries if the drive shows with an error.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Optiarc, Nero/InCD, or virtual-drive filter drivers, then delete the device and reboot. Let Windows reinstall its CD/DVD class driver before installing the Optiarc utility again.
