Question 1

Install fails or driver won’t load?

Accepted Answer

Windows may block the older Optiarc ATA package. Run the installer as administrator, or in Device Manager choose Update driver > Browse > Let me pick and select the standard CD/DVD-ROM driver.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the AD-7580S appears in BIOS/UEFI. Check the SATA cable and power, then use Scan for hardware changes in Device Manager. If BIOS does not see it, the issue is hardware/connection, not the driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts or Code 10/19/31?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall the Optiarc device and driver, reboot, and let Windows reinstall the generic DVD drive driver. Avoid mixing old Optiarc packages with newer Windows versions; roll back if a recent update caused the fault.
