Name: Optiarc DVD RW AD 7580A ATA Device Driver
Author: Optiarc

Question 1

Install fails or is blocked?

Accepted Answer

Run the driver installer as administrator. If Windows rejects an older Optiarc package, use the built-in CD/DVD driver instead and avoid generic “driver updater” tools.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the SATA/power cable and BIOS SATA mode. In Device Manager, rescan for hardware changes and look for the Optiarc DVD RW AD-7580A under DVD/CD-ROM drives; a yellow mark usually means a driver or connection issue.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Optiarc/Windows CD-ROM driver entries, reboot, and let Windows reinstall the native driver. If a newer package breaks burning or reading, roll back to the previous driver.
