Name: Optiarc DVD RW AD 7530B ATA Device Driver
Author: Optiarc

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The AD 7530B is an ATA/ATAPI optical drive and often needs the correct IDE/SATA controller driver first. Run the installer as administrator, check Windows compatibility, and update the motherboard chipset/ATA driver before retrying.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm power and data cables are secure; for IDE, verify master/slave jumper settings. In BIOS, check the optical drive is enabled and the SATA/IDE mode matches the installed controller. Then use Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes.

Question 3

Version conflicts / wrong driver?

Accepted Answer

Windows may load a generic CD/DVD driver or leftover third-party burning filters. Uninstall the device in Device Manager, reboot, and let Windows reinstall the native driver; remove old Optiarc/Nero filter drivers if detection still fails.
