Author: Olympus

Question 1

Installer fails or is blocked?

Accepted Answer

The Olympus Camedia 3030 uses legacy USB drivers that may be unsigned or 32-bit. Try running the installer as administrator in Windows XP/7 compatibility mode only if needed; otherwise use Windows 10’s built-in USB mass-storage driver.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Set the Camedia 3030 to PC/playback mode, use a known data-capable USB cable, connect directly to a rear USB port (no hub), and check Device Manager for unknown devices.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Olympus USB/imaging entries, reboot, then reconnect and let Windows install the generic driver. If detection still fails, use a SmartMedia card reader to copy photos.
