Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Okidata setup as Administrator and, for older packages, in Windows 7 compatibility mode. If setup.exe still fails, extract the driver and add the OKIPAGE 20 manually via Add Printer > Local Port (LPT1/USB001) > Have Disk.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the OKIPAGE 20 is powered on and connected to the correct parallel/USB port. Avoid unsupported USB-to-parallel adapters; use direct LPT1 or a known-compatible adapter. In Printer Properties, verify the port matches and print a self-test.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old OKIPAGE 20 queues and driver packages in Print Management/Print Server Properties, reboot, then install only one matching x86/x64 package. Do not mix legacy and universal drivers on the same queue.
