Name: Okidata ML 321 Turbo D (IBM) Driver
Author: Okidata

Question 1

Install fails or driver is blocked?

Accepted Answer

Use the Okidata ML 321 Turbo D (IBM) package that matches your Windows version and architecture. Run the installer as administrator and confirm the INF points to the IBM emulation driver, not a generic dot-matrix driver.

Question 2

Device not detected / won’t print?

Accepted Answer

Check that the printer is set to IBM emulation and connected to the correct LPT port or USB-to-parallel adapter port. Power-cycle both devices, verify online/paper status, and run the printer’s self-test. Try another parallel cable/adapter if Windows cannot see the port.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Okidata ML 320/321 or “Generic / Text Only” drivers and stale print queues, restart the Print Spooler service, then reinstall only the ML 321 Turbo D IBM driver and assign the correct port.
