Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Cancel pending print jobs, stop the Print Spooler, remove any old Okidata C9500 driver package via Print Management > Drivers, restart the spooler, then run the installer as administrator.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the USB cable/port or confirm the printer’s network IP. For network installs, create a Standard TCP/IP port and ping the C9500 first; power-cycle the printer before rerunning setup.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous C9500 drivers and delete duplicate queues/ports. Install one matching 32/64-bit package only, reboot, and set the correct C9500 queue as default.
