Question 1

Install fails or setup exits early?

Accepted Answer

The B2200 driver package is older and may need elevation on Windows 10/11. Right-click the installer and select Run as administrator; if it still fails, try Compatibility mode for Windows 7.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the B2200 is powered on and connected directly to the PC, not through a hub. Try another USB port/cable; for parallel models, verify the LPT port is enabled in BIOS. Check Device Manager for “Unknown device” or “USB Printing Support.”

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove existing OKI B2200 print queues and drivers before reinstalling. In Print Server Properties > Drivers, delete old OKI entries, restart the Print Spooler service, then install the correct 32/64-bit package.
